Nurse Training & Education

Helping you grow

When you register with HCL Nursing, we offer you training to keep your CPD up to date and improve your chances of getting work.

In order for us to fulfil our promise to provide quality candidates to our clients, we require nurses to undertake the following training before being placed in the field:

  • Manual handling
  • Life support
  • Annual mandatory training

If you have undertaken this training with another company or agency we can accept certificates as long as they are in date.

Manual handling and life support training can be completed at the Osmosis Centre in Waterloo which runs training on a daily basis, or it can be completed online. Ask one of our consultants to set this up or, alternatively, come to one of our open days.

HCL Nursing conducts induction training for all their nurses, HCAs and ODPs as part of their induction policy. This covers:

  • Code of conduct
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Company policies and procedures
  • Trust specific policies and procedures
  • Uniform policy
  • Basic observation training
  • Basic clinical competency tests

Additionally we have worked hard to provide our nurses with discounted training courses relevant to the area you work in.

All our nurses are entitled to 15% off the EduCare Programmes offered on this link, as well as 15% off an EduCare for Health licence, click on the links to find out more about either.
